Milwaukee Cordless Drills

24v - Purchased in 2007

Strengths: I have gone through 2 DeWalt 18v sets in 3 years. I was frustrated and learned my lesson. I tried Milwaukee 24v. I love the run time, energy indicator and the power. Will never go back!

Weaknesses: No weaknesses that I have found yet

What You Wanted to Know Before You Bought It: I researched it so I wasn't going to get taken again

What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: Make more tools that run on the 24v battery, including a GOOD radio. The last one I bought for my DeWalt set worked for about a week. Friends had the same problem with the same radio. Quality was definately a factor...not with Milwaukee.

V18 sub compact drill/driver - Purchased in 2007

Strengths: It's compact size fits in tight areas. It's LED light is SO helpful in dark corners. The battery fuel gauge is sweet! It awesome torque for it's size.

Weaknesses: On it's first use I turned the torque adjustment on the chuck and a sharp plastic lip around the LED light sliced my finger open. It's not as powerful as the larger cordless drills.

What You Wanted to Know Before You Bought It: That one should beware of sharp edges on the drill.

What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: Simply sand sharp edge down.

V28 - Purchased in 2006

Strengths: The battery lasts a long time and the drill has a lot of torque.

Weaknesses: It's a little heavy for the general public. If you have strong hands and forearms..it's not a problem.

What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: They should make it a lighter.
