Strengths: Ramps up torque so you don't trip curcuit breakers. Has the power to rip a 2x4 with two passes. Light enough to carry around and set up when needed at the jobsite. Table coating is scratch and rust proof. Extensions for the table are available and mount easily to the saw. Rip fence is very accurate and needs no calibration after being hauled around in the van from job to job.
Weaknesses: Plastic base is fragile for a mobile saw. Parts can be expensive to replace. Minor motor vibration causes table extension hardware to work loose over time.
What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: Create a solid rim to the base of the saw out of aluminium or stainless. This would allow the base to be slid around the van and not break, without adding too much wieght.
