Strengths: I have used every brand of miter saw, except maybe 1. All have their strengths and weaknesses. The Bosch is the first that I have used that has only one weakness. The table is easy to read and use, the extensions for the table are accessible and lock easily. But by far the best feature is the bevel. The degree of bevel is easy to read, accurate and easier to use. Every single thing is up front, on the arm. No reaching behind the saw to lock the bevel--it is directly up front on the arm. And, best of all, it tilts both ways. Five years ago, to the best of my knowledge, it was the first to do so. Others do now, but their ease of use leaves a lot to be desired. This is the best slide compound miter saw that money can buy. Try one on for size. You will be impressed.
Weaknesses: see above
What You Wanted to Know Before You Bought It: Nothing, because it has been better than I thought possible.
What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: Tilt the motor away at an angle to allow larger material to be cut.
If possible, make the slide 1 inch longer.
