Strengths: My older Black and Decker tools are OK and better built. Todays Black and Decker tools are junk! I will not buy any B&D tools new anymore. My 70's and early 80's tools are OK.

Weaknesses: The new tools are weak powered compared to say DeWalt and feel CHEAP!

What You Wanted to Know Before You Bought It: I knew it was junk and was trying to save money to get through one job. The tool quit after 3 weeks of use. Warranty was so diffucult to try and get them to honor I finally gave up and threw the new tool in the garbage.

What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: Buy DeWalt or any other tool then paint them red and put B&D name on them and they would be OK.

Strengths: I'm a general contractor and purchased an 18v B&D combo pack 10years ago when I first started my company. It was an excellent purchase-still dependable, used almost every day. However, this was before companies started using more and more plastic parts. Honestly though, when I need to purchase new tools, DEWALT is what I mainly consider. Just DO YOUR HOMEWORK before you buy.

Weaknesses: After 8 years, I finally had to purchase new batteries. Still have the originals but they don't hold power as long anymore.

Strengths: Great foe homepwner who uses this tool on occasions for around the home.

Weaknesses: Will not last with everyday use, charger cord wears out, won't stand up to abuse

What Would You Tell the Maker of This Tool: frankly, its not engineered for hard use, and I would assume B+D knows this
